Senior Services

Under the direction of Mayor Gary Starr and the approval of City Council, the City of Middleburg Heights has established a new position within the Recreation Department - Senior Services Community Coordinator - and has appointed Janet Shugar to fill the role.

Janet is a longtime resident of Middleburg Heights and the former director of the Tri-City Senior Center. As Senior Services Community Coordinator, Janet will be responsible for organizing and coordinating all the services, programs events and trips for seniors within our city.

As a senior ombudsman she will also be available to help seniors with their questions
and needs.

She has scheduled a series of meetings on the first Tuesday of every month from
9 to 11 a.m. to receive input from those who are 50+!!

The Community Center

The Community Center will be closed on Thursday, September 9 until 4 pm in order for CEI to do some work on the main power line which will result in no electricity in the building for much of the day. All meetings, classes and activities that are normally held between 6 am-4 pm will be cancelled that day. Thank you for understanding!

Bagley Road Resurfacing Underway

After Prom Reservations

The Middleburg Heights Community Center is now taking After Prom reservations for 2011. We offer swimming, basketball, volleyball and our community rooms with a full size catering kitchen. Additional space is available for other activities. Please click here for details.
