The 2014 Senior Olympics will be held the week of May 19-23 in conjunction with the Senior Citizens resource Organization. Click here for a registration form and here for a schedule of events. The fee is $20 if you sign up here at the MHCC and includes a t-shirt, all the event fees and admission to the Victory Luncheon on Fri., May 23!

Individuals 65 & over who have
Medicare coverage through their insurance company are eligible to take SilverSneakers' fitness classes for FREE. Non-SilverSneakers members who are members of the center pay $2 per class.

Combine fun and fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work using hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, head to toe stretching, and complete relaxation in a comfortable position.

YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Activate your aqua urge for variety! SilverSplash offers lots of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers kickboard is used to develop strength, balance and coordination.
