National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Area residents are invited to take part in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Unused or expired drugs will be collected at Sanford-Brown College, 17535 Rosbough Drive (behind Max and Erma's Restaurant), Middleburg Heights. This is a great opportunity for people to dispose of their old medications, keeping them out of the local water supply and soil as well as off the street.
Wildlife-proof your yard

Deer are attracted to hostas, rhododendrons and flowers. If you are having a deer problem, you may have to alter your shrubbery. A list of deer-resistant plants is provided here.
Shred-It Days scheduled

The summer Shred-It Day will take place Saturday, June 9, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Middleburg Heights Service Center, 7375 Engle Road. Fall Shred-It Day will be Saturday, October 6. A flyer with FAQs is available.
