Tot Watch Programs

The MHCC is happy to provide childcare services to our members and guests while using the center. The Tot Watch room is available for children ages newborn through 7 years.

The fee is $2 per hour. Each additional sibling costs $1 per hour (with no 50 cent increments permitted). Punch cards valued at $20 can be purchased for $18 in the Tot Room. The parent/guardian must be physically in the center while the child is in the Tot Watch area.

We regret to inform all parents that the Tot Room will no longer allow snacks. After reviewing concerns from food allergies, along with choking hazards, we feel it is in the best interest of the children to no longer permit this practice. Drinks will be permitted, or we can provide water if necessary. Thank you for understanding! Our goal is to provide a healthy and safe environment for all of our little visitors!

Hours for child care are:

• Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.
• Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
• Child care is not available on Sundays.

The following tot activities are now available for you and your child:

Black Friday Blitz

Do you want to hit the mall on the busiest shopping day of the year without the kids this year? If so, we have the perfect solution for you! Drop them off at the center from 9 am-1 pm and we'll take care of the rest! Children in pre-school (must be potty trained) thru 5th grade can play games in the gym, do simple crafts & enjoy a pizza party! The cost is just $16 for residents & $19 for non-residents ($3 discount for siblings).

Open Gym

Mondays from September thru April from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. (Open Gym), children walking age to age 8 can come to the MP gym for music and movement. Parents must remain in the building. The fee is just $2 per child/per class. There will not be a class from December 8-January 5 due to Winter Break. Class will resume on January 12, 2009.

Saturday Sitters

This program is an opportunity for parents to leave their child(ren) up to age 10 with us every other Saturday night from 4 to 8 p.m. Children must be potty trained, and will enjoy free and structured activities in a safe, fun environment. It costs $10 per child and is non-refundable and non-transferable. The third sibling is FREE! Pizza will be provided Parents should pack a contained drink for their child(ren).

Registrations will be accepted two weeks before each session. Upcoming sessions will be held on November 15, December 6 & 20 in 2008! In 2009, the program will be held on January 20, February 14, March 21, April 17 & May 16.

Kids Korner

This program is for moms (and dads) who want an "extended" break during the day! Parents are permitted to drop off their children for 1 1/2 hours of fun-filled, supervised activities from 12:15-1:45 pm! Sessions are from 12:15-1:45 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays &/or Thursdays starting January 27-April 30, 2009 (no classes fromm April 7-16 due to Spring Break). Registration begins for this session starting Dec. 1st, 2008! 

Parents can now literally "drop-off" their child(ren) at the curb between 12:05-12:15 pm! A Tot Watch Staff Member will help escort each child out of their car by the second set of doors (normally exit only doors). Please have goodbyes already done & the child out of their seat belt! If you arrive after 12:15 pm, you will have to park your car in the lot and walk your child(ren) to the Tot Room yourself! Remember to please pick up your child(ren) inside the building no later than 1:50 pm. If you arrive after 1:55 pm, a $5 late fee will be charged! 

Mommy & Me

This NEW class is designed to get your infant/toddler moving & socialing! Ages 6 months to 24 months are welcome. Each session will be themed and include interactive stories as well as a song with supervised free time in our Tot Watch room. Classes will be held on Fridays from 12:15-1:15 pm from November 14-December 12, 2008 (the class on Friday, Nov. 28 will be moved to Tuesday, Nov. 24). The next session will be held from 1/9-2/27 in 2009 and you can register for this starting Dec. 12, 2008!

Get Going!

Do your children need a break from homework? Are you tired of them sitting around & playing video games? Maybe you just want your kids to have some fun while staying healthy. A more structured open gym full of exercise and movement for school age children (K-6th graders). Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 5:15-6 pm for 8 weeks. 

Kid Crafts

Come and join us for this special time! Two, fun-filled hours of crafts, games & friends for ages 3 & up! One Saturday each month from 3-5 pm. The cost is just $6 per child & $4 per sibling. Sign-up in the Tot Watch Room. The dates for 2008 are: November 22 (Giving Thanks) & December 13 (Happy Holidays). The dates in 2009 are January 10, January 24, February 7, February 21, March 7, March 28, April 25 & May 9. Bring the kids in messy-friendly clothing, please!

Afterhours

This program offers child care after our normal designated hours of operation if you rent from us! Functions such as weddings, showers and holiday celebrations are enhanced when you can have a quality, fun and safe place to place your child(ren) that is on site! the cost is just $8 per hour, per child. Payment must be made in cash! Generally, a ratio of 1 staff employee for every 5 children will be used (according to the ages og the children). Also, to reserve afterhours child care, cash payment must be paid in advance when the room reservations are made.

Summer Camps

Our popular day camps are over for 2008 but we'll be back next summer! Camps run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 9:30 am-1:30 pm on the following dates:

Winter Camps

Similar in format to our Summer Camps, these are one-day camps that will be held over winter break from school for children in pre-school thru 5th grade. The dates for this year are Tuesday, December 23rd & Tuesday, December 30th. The times for both days are 9:30 am-1:30 pm. You can sign up for either or both!Registrations are now being accepted at the front desk.
