Programs
The Recreation Department offers a variety of programs for the entire family, from children to senior citizens.

Since we are a municipal recreation department, our sports participation policies may be different from those you've experienced in other settings. Click on the link to learn about how we appeal to everyone.
Adult Dances
Our adult dances are held once a month on Sundays (except during Home Days weekend). For a complete 2008 schedule, click here.
The Tri-City Senior Center will hold their 2008 Tuesday afternoon ballroom dances in our center. Dances are held from 1-3 pm (doors open at 12:15 pm). The admission is just $4 per person and includes a live band (donuts and coffee are included).
Youth Dances
Our youth dances are held on the third Friday of every month (September thru May) from 7-10 pm for 10-14 yr. olds in our beautiful community rooms! The September '08 dance will be held on Sept. 12th due to a scheduling conflict on Sept. 19th! Admission is $4 for members and $8 for non-members. Tickets usually go on sale one week prior to the dance at the front desk. A list of rules, which are strictly enforced, are available by clicking here.
Little Stars Gymnastics
This popular program is for girls & boys ages 18 months to 10 years old who are interested in learning the important fundamental skills of gymnastics. No prior experience is necessary! Activities such as balance beam, single bar, obstacle course & basic tumbling will be taught! The instructor, Sophia Boyk, allstargym@att.net, is a USAG safety certified gymnastics instructor with over 16 years of teaching experience. Ballet Classes for Kids
Mackenzie Clevenger will have pre-ballet lessons on Fridays at 5 pm. Mackenzie is a graduate of Lees-McRae University abd has a B.A. in Performing Arts. She is currently with Inlet Theatre and brings years of formal training and a positive disposition to our center! Classes are held on Friday afternoons for children ages 3-7. Lunch & Learn Seminars
Monthly discussions related to pertinent health topics are available for anyone to attend in 2008 in our beautiful community rooms! The Royal Oaks Nursing & Rehab Center will sponsor these sessions which start with a light and healthy lunch at Noon and the informational sessions following from 12:15-12:45 pm. A schedule of seminars is available by clicking here! All you need to do is call the front desk at 440-234-2255 to reserve your spot and then show up on the date of your choosing! Space is limited so don't wait until the last minute!

Ballroom Dancing
This class is geared toward anyone who loves to dance or who wants to learn how to dance ballroom-style! Proper technique, body isolations and movement across the floor will be emphasized. Learn to dance the fox trot, rumba, cha-cha, mambo line dancing & waltz under the direction of Kuno Hofmann, who has over a decade of dancing experience! Please wear leather-soled shoes. Adult Open Table Tennis
Play a fun game or two of ping pong with your fellow adult friends (and competitiors) on Mondays at 1 pm in the multi-purpose gym. All skill levels welcome! Members can play for free and non-members only have to pay $1 for unlimited play until 4 pm! No reservations needed---just show up!
