Aquatics
Swimming lessons are offered to children ages 18 months and older. Weekday classes for adults are also available. The Community Center uses the American Red Cross method of teaching, and all instructors are certified Water Safety Instructors. All lessons are taught at the indoor heated pool, average temperature is 86 degrees. The ratio of student to teacher is generally 3:1 for preschool and levels 1,2 or 3.
Learn to Swim registrations for 2009-2010 will be held on the following dates:
Summer 2009 - Residents & Members, Tuesday, May 5; Non-Residents, Tuesday, May 19 (Classes from June 13-August 8)
Fall 2009 - Residents & Members, Tuesday, August 18; Non-Residents, Tuesday, Sept. 1 (Classes begin the week of November 17)
Winter 2010 - Residents & Members, Tuesday, December 1, 2009; Non-Residents, Tuesday, December 8, 2009 (Classes begin the 3rd week of January 2010)
Registration costs $30 for members, $40 for resident nonmembers and $50 for nonresidents. Registration will remain open for all Learn-to-Swim programs until the class is full, or until two days prior to the first day of class.
Please note there is enrollment li mits on all classes, so please register early to avoid the disappointment of being shutout.
Regular hours of operation for the outdoor pool (starting June 12th) are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 7:30 p.m. weekends (weather permitting) until August 30th. From June 1-June 11, pool hours are from 1-6 pm!

The 9:00 am Water Exercise Class is for members ONLY!
The indoor pool will be closed on Monday, August 10 through Monday, August 31 for maintenance and painting the indoor pool.
