The primary function of the Middleburg Heights Department of Economic Development is to help preserve jobs and create opportunities for future economic growth that will benefit the community.

The fundamental goal of the Economic Development Department is to create an atmosphere conducive to the success and economic health of private enterprises by:

  • supporting and promoting programs that assist with the retention and expansion of existing businesses in the City;
  • facilitating networking opportunities among Middleburg Heights businesses;
  • assisting new and existing businesses with the review and approval of proposed development and expansion projects;
  • encouraging the development and redevelopment of the industrial and commercial districts within the City to ensure the continued economic health of Middleburg Heights;
  • participating in community development programs to maintain quality housing stock and a diverse economic base.

The Department of Economic Development welcomes the opportunity to visit with Middleburg Heights businesses to develop relationships and assist with any issues which may affect their continued success and satisfaction in the City.
